NEW THIS YEAR!! For anyone wanting an easier introduction to the sport of biathlon, we will be offering a 3K (three 1k loops) course with 2 shooting stops each Thursday night. This will not be timed and should be a "no pressure" fun way to try biathlon.
2011 Winter Race Series
EABC holds a 6 race winter biathlon race series on Thursday evenings throughout January and February. These races are open to beginners as well as experienced biathletes and include Sprint, Pursuit, Individual and sometimes Relay format for distances of 5 to 10 kilometers freestyle technique. Safety clinic, instruction and shared rifles are available for novices. Awards are given at the end of the series. Race dates: January 6, 13, 20 and February 3, 10, 17. Racers should be 14 years old or older.
