Winter Series Race #3

Fast and firm! The snow held up just enough for 36 biathletes to toe the start line in Race #3 of the winter race series.

A modified Sprint/Individual format with 30 second penalties for each miss favored those that shot well. Tara Geraghty-Moats shot well and skied fast to beat everyone but Tim Weston who was uncatchable with good shooting and the always exceptional ski speed. Tucker Murphy might have challenged Tim but having recently returned from Bermuda, was not able to thaw his hands and struggled with the targets. It was a family feud in the sport female class with Sabra Davison knocking down one more target and edging her sister Lea on the clock. Mike Scott used a good night on the range to edge Todd Nordblum and keep the series contest close at the half way point. Best shooting for the night went to Paul Charron among the experts with just 2 misses and Matthew Koff among the sport class with nine out of ten hits. Thanks to everyone for all the help putting away the mats and ropes.
