Winter Series Race #5

Tackling the big climb for the second week in a row skiing backwards on the Airplane loop, Spring conditions remained pretty fast on a beautiful night for racing under the lights.

In the next to last race Silke Hynes, Danielle Bean, Jesse Downs, Eric Fournier (his first biathlon race) and Pavel Dvorak all left just two targets standing for best shooting on the evening. Andre Bolduc also hit his first 8 shots, unfortunately he was cross-firing while shooting standing and had to do 5 penalty loops. John Witmer cleaned his standing stage and is showing great promise in the range. Eli Walker make the drive from New Hampshire to push Jesse Downs to the fastest race time of the evening. Sabra Davison continues to dominate in the sport female group with another fast ski and Parker Herlihy had to leave it all on the course to hold off Patrick Asselin on the last lap. Next Thursday is the last race of the 2012 Winter Race Series. Awards to follow (must race at least two races to be eligible), best shooting awards (at least 3 races), a raffle for prizes (one chance for every race entered), and refreshments in the Walker Building.
