Introduction to Biathlon Camp
When: June 23-29 in Lake Placid, New York
This camp is for nordic athletes between the ages of 12 and 14 who would like to learn the sport of biathlon. This camp will utilize the 1980 Olympic Biathlon Training venue as well as the Olympic Training Center. This camp is aimed at athletes under 15 years of age who have some biathlon experience and would like to become more competitive. Strong nordic skiers without biathlon experience will be considered. Coaching will be provided by Algis Shalna, Olympic biathlon Gold medalist and former US National Team coach and Sarah Lehto, former National Guard Biathlon coach and current Ethan Allen Biathlon Club coach.
