Folks, we have been in an uncertain time for the past two years at the range due to the planned major renovation and construction. Projects like this are challenging and always come with some hiccups. It will truly be an impressive venue when we get through this phase and get back to an amazing resource available to the nordic community.
Unfortunately, it comes with some disruption to the programming we are able to offer. This winter we have no power to the lights or the snow making, so very challenging to offer any evening skiing or biathlon opportunities as we have in the past. Tree cutting along the trails for widening is going to happen soon and the construction of the new lodge building and wax building are moving forward with construction planned, hopefully, for this summer. Repaving of the rollerski tracks and other changes to the stadium area are also in the works.
No Thursday night race series this winter but we are continuing to look for ways to provide biathlon opportunities. In the mean time, check out the Masters program at Craftsbury Outdoor Center and the novice races that they host.
Look for updates to the improvements at the range as things progress.
